Irritated
I would have given up on this book already if it was just a pleasure read. My patience gets tested at work. My children test my patience at home. Now this book? Is this a conspiracy? I'm only on page 18 so I'll give it a chance, but so far it's not what I expected. I'll finish it either way. I'll even try to get in a better frame of mind next time I start on it.

I am not even through the first chapter. I can semi-relate, though. I am constantly bogged down with homework or at work, so I never have much time to get into the mind frame for this book.
I'm with you: I'll give it a chance, as well. :o)

I like this book, too. I actually tried to hijack Calvino's writing style in a story my friend and I are writing. I've never read a book like this one, and I find that enjoyable. It highlights for me the processes of writing and reading.
Erin, I can relate to the time factor. I've got so much to do!
