summer/fall books

i liked melinda's suggestion for last vote, The Inheritance of Loss by Kiran Desai. maybe for summer? or special topics in calamity physics.

and i think i suggested a confederacy of dunces a while ago? i'm sure it's on my mental list of books to read. that seems like a good fall choice. something funny.

sorry i missed the meeting. glass castle was wonderful. read about 40 pages between classes and then finished it in one sitting. "couldn't put it down"
and duluth is ... strange. in a good way. sort of calvino meets vonnegut but i'm still at the beginning of the book so... who knows.

also, these are not suggestions just books you may want to check out. just for fun.
Lord of the Dead by Tom Holland- serious argument that Lord Byron was a vampire. no joke.
Shanta Ram- don't know the author. takes place in india, popular in india. suggested by a reliable source.
